About the position

BioCentury is seeking a Biopharma Analyst to create written content analyzing trends, breakthroughs, challenges, and opportunities related to innovation in drug development. The role focuses on critical topics in translation, clinical trials, biological targets, regulatory science, and financing activities, while also requiring fluency in data analysis and the ability to generate data-driven content.

Responsibilities

• Write analytical content ranging from 250 to 2,500 words as needed.
• Cover innovation in drug development, including new science and clinical trials.
• Analyze top trends and breakthroughs from clinical studies and major science conferences.
• Interpret regulatory science and analyze its impact on company strategy.
• Profile emerging companies in the biopharma sector.
• Analyze finance, partnering deals, M&A, and cross-border transactions.
• Examine policy and geopolitics affecting IP, drug pricing, and deal-making.
• Explore global biotech ecosystems and emerging hot spots.
• Collaborate with editors to map content calendar and develop story ideas.
• Represent the company at conferences and contribute to development and moderation of panels.

Requirements

• Advanced degree or equivalent experience in biomedical science, finance, or business analytics.
• Experience generating original content for a knowledgeable scientific or commercial audience.
• Ability to develop a network of contacts among opinion leaders and innovators.
• Experience integrating, analyzing, and presenting data from complex databases is an advantage.
• Familiarity with sources such as ClinicalTrials.gov, EDGAR, Orange Book, Red Book, PACER, or PubMed is an advantage.
