About The Position
The Lead Biopsy Coordinator is responsible for the development and revision of the biopsy collection and tracking protocols and processes in coordination with the Dermatology Clinical Manager. The Lead Biopsy Coordinator is responsible for training all Biopsy Coordinators in addition to functioning as a Biopsy Coordinator performing the following tasks: Tracking pathology results from the start of the sample collection through the completion of the treatment, scheduling procedures and preparing surgical packets, ensuring that all information and consents are available before the patient's procedure, direct patient interaction including obtaining patient history, reviewing their pathology results and preparing educational treatment packets, and performing all surgical scheduling duties to support patient care.
