About the position

The Biosolids and Wastewater Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a biosolids processing facility and associated leachate/condensate treatment operations. This role includes project and facility management, staff hiring and training, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The manager will coordinate with wastewater treatment plants and landfill operations, manage quality control, and implement operational improvements.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the biosolids processing facility and leachate/condensate treatment operations.
• Oversee project management and facility management tasks.
• Hire, train, and supervise operations staff, conducting performance reviews.
• Ensure smooth operation of biosolids receipt and processing, and leachate/condensate treatment.
• Administer contracts with participating wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs).
• Coordinate visits to WWTP customers to support sales and compliance efforts.
• Manage the QA/QC program for biosolids and leachate processing.
• Develop and track the annual budget and key processing metrics.
• Implement maintenance programs for the facilities, ensuring safety and cleanliness.
• Represent the company in municipal meetings and public speaking engagements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Operations, or a related field, or a High School Diploma with 10 years of relevant experience.
• 5 years of experience in Industrial Facility Operations, Wastewater Operations, or Solid Waste Operations.
• Wastewater Operators license is required.
• Experience with industrial facilities management and heavy equipment operation is necessary.
• Knowledge of biosolids and liquids processing operations and regulatory compliance.

• Public speaking experience and ability to represent the company in public settings.
