About the position

The Biostatistician Data Manager at Axle will provide expert biostatistical support to the Brain Health Equity Unit within the National Institute on Aging. This role involves statistical design, analysis, and interpretation of data from community-based cohort studies, contributing to research projects led by the Principal Investigator. The position requires a strong background in biostatistics and the ability to manage complex datasets while ensuring compliance with research protocols.

Responsibilities

• Independently provide expert biostatistical support to the Brain Health Equity Unit.
• Assist in the statistical design, analysis, and interpretation of data from community-based cohort studies.
• Prepare clear and concise statistical reports that translate complex findings for diverse audiences.
• Develop materials for training junior staff or collaborators on statistical methods and data management protocols.
• Lead statistical contributions to research manuscripts and assist in grant writing.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or a related field.
• Proficiency in statistical software such as R, SPSS, and Mplus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills to explain statistical concepts to non-statistical audiences.
• Extensive experience in applying statistical methods to public health or clinical research.
