About the position

The Biostatistician II position at Centene Corporation involves supporting the Biostatistics component of the Health Economics team. The role focuses on managing and analyzing clinical data, interpreting results, and reporting findings to support population health goals. The position requires the development of detailed statistical analysis plans and the execution of various statistical analyses to inform clinical programs.

Responsibilities

• Support the Biostatistics component of the Health Econ team by managing and analyzing clinical data.
• Write detailed statistical analysis plans including specifications for analysis files, consistency checks, tables, and figures.
• Responsible for data management, operational reporting, and predictive outcomes analysis for all Clinical programs across all lines of business.
• Review study results and prepare statistical reports by performing regression analysis including univariate & multivariate linear regression, non-linear regression, and linear models.
• Design experiments for clinical programs using bio-informatics, Bayesian inference, causal inference, and other statistical methods.
• Handle multiple projects and communicate risks and issues.

Requirements

• Master's degree in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, bioinformatics, or a health science-related field with 3+ years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, claims, or clinical data.
• Experience working with large databases, data verification, and data management.
• Proficiency in Enterprise Analysis tools, SQL, and Microsoft Office applications.
