About the position

The Biostatistician at CyberData Technologies will conduct studies on risk factors and trends in diabetes and related complications for the Division of Diabetes Translation. This role involves collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team and utilizing statistical software to analyze data, recommend methods, and evaluate software for scientific studies.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and format analytic data sets related to diabetes prevention and control.
• Plan, construct, and maintain databases for data storage and retrieval.
• Support cross-functional teams in designing and implementing data systems.
• Prepare statistical reports and provide technical assistance to division staff.
• Conduct analytic data management and statistical analyses using healthcare administrative data.
• Develop methods for tabulating, summarizing, and presenting data from various data systems.
• Resolve complex data management and analytic problems.

Requirements

• Knowledge of analytic data management and data science best practices.
• Knowledge of statistical theory and methods for analysis interpretation.
• Proficiency in statistical programming languages and software (SAS required).
• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, MS Access) and programming languages (SQL required).
• Direct experience with analytic data management and statistical analysis of administrative data.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with SUDAAN, Stata, R, and Python.
• Familiarity with electronic health information and large complex data sets.
