About the position
This role combines technical expertise in life sciences and data science to guide and influence project direction. The candidate will address significant technical challenges by utilizing data and digital methodologies to assist project teams in designing studies, analyzing complex datasets, and visualizing results. A strong foundation in research and development is essential, supported by hands-on experience in statistical modeling and informatics analysis.
Responsibilities
- Guide and influence technical project direction in life sciences and data science.
- Tackle significant technical problems using data and digital approaches.
- Assist project teams in crafting studies and analyzing large datasets.
- Visualize results to communicate findings effectively.
- Establish a strong foundational understanding of R&D through statistical modeling and informatics analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biochemistry, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Life Science, or Data/Modeling Science.
- Strong domain knowledge in Biology with proven experience in applying data and modeling science in biology.
- Experience in using innovative data and modeling tools for data cleaning, analysis, and visualization.
- Strong coding skills, preferably in Python or R, along with a background in mathematics/statistics and modeling.
- Experience with machine learning is helpful.
- Ability to recognize opportunities for reapplying capabilities or technologies across programs.
- Strong self-leadership skills to translate business challenges into technical problems and collaborate with project teams.
