About the position

The Biostatistician will join the Epidemiology & Population Sciences section at Baylor College of Medicine, focusing on supporting research initiatives through statistical analysis and methodology development. This role involves working with large datasets, ensuring data integrity, and contributing to public health insights through collaboration with researchers.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with researchers to design and develop statistical analysis applications.
  • Lead the cleaning and QC, as well as act as the data custodian for several large datasets.
  • Develop and implement new statistical methodologies to enhance research outcomes.
  • Analyze and interpret data from various research and population health projects.
  • Prepare scientific reports and publications, playing a crucial role in advancing scientific research.
  • Design, develop, and maintain clinical practice records, forms, and software applications.
  • Stay current with emerging statistical techniques and software, and apply them to ongoing research projects.
  • Provide training and support to team members and researchers on statistical software and analysis methods.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned to support the section's research objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics or a related field.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in a related field.
