About the position
The Biostatistics and Data Management Programming Intern at Daiichi Sankyo Inc. is a full-time role designed for students enrolled in a mathematics or statistics program. The intern will engage in statistical programming projects, primarily using R/R Shiny, to develop tools for data visualization and summary tables. This position aims to provide training in statistical programming within a pharmaceutical context while supporting basic programming activities under supervision.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of programming tools such as macros, utilities, or apps.
- Work on a programming project using R/R Shiny to create tools for data visualization and summary tables.
- Participate in departmental activities and initiatives development.
Requirements
- Enrolled in a BS or MS program in mathematics or statistics at an accredited college/university.
- Demonstrated knowledge of scientific programming.
- Proficient in at least one programming language: R/R Shiny, Python, or SAS.
- Detail-oriented and highly motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills.
