About the position

Ardelyx is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Junior Recruiter to join their team in Fremont, CA. This role focuses primarily on recruiting activities, with a smaller portion dedicated to staffing-related administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within the recruitment field, contributing to the overall success of Talent Acquisition.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and attract top talent through various sourcing methods including job boards, social media, and networking for current and future openings.
  • Utilize Ardelyx digital media footprint to create & post job announcements that list requirements for each job, such as desired work experience, education, and job skills.
  • Conduct initial candidate screenings with potential applicants by phone, email, or in person and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
  • Screen resumes and interview candidates for various departments & positions within the organization.
  • Contribute to the overall success of Talent Acquisition by providing a high level of customer service and project coordination when supporting recruiting activities for hiring managers & candidates.
  • Assist candidates, hiring managers, and HR with use of Jobvite (Applicant Tracking System - ATS) as necessary.
  • Apply principles of behavioral interviewing to assess the qualifications of candidates.
  • Investigate referrals, references, and social media sources to formulate a well-rounded view of applicants.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with colleges and local organizations to participate in job fairs or networking events in support of the Ardelyx Internship program.
  • Prepare & deliver competitive compensation packages to selected applicants to offer employment.
  • Support the onboarding process by preparing new hire documentation and coordinating orientation sessions with Human Resources.
  • Manage the candidate experience through start date; schedule interviews, track candidate feedback, and maintain open requisition status via spreadsheet within JobVite.
  • Provide administrative support to the Associate Director, Talent Acquisition and other HR team members as needed.
  • Help organize and participate in internal HR events and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in recruitment or a related HR role.
  • Significant recruiting experience for a high-volume biotech or pharmaceutical organization required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, especially the ability to network and establish professional relationships.
  • Demonstrates clear, effective and professional oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, and consistently follows-up and follows-through.
  • Ability to work independently, while collaborating and communicating in a team environment.
  • Ability to use MS Excel for managing/presenting data, generating reports, and MS Outlook for advanced meeting scheduling.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and social media applications.
  • Knowledge of HR related systems (ATS, pre-assessment, etc.) and TA/social media platforms (LinkedIn, CareerBuilder, ZipRecruiter, Circa Workforce Solutions) preferred.
