About the position

The Biotech Research Scientist position is designed for individuals passionate about leveraging science to drive breakthroughs in biotechnology, impacting medicine, agriculture, and environmental sustainability. This role involves leading innovative research projects that integrate biology, chemistry, and technology to address complex challenges in the field. The scientist will be responsible for designing experiments, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and developing novel biotechnological solutions that contribute to advancements in drug discovery and biomanufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Biotechnology Research Projects by designing and executing experiments focused on biotechnology applications.
  • Collaborate on Multidisciplinary Research with molecular biologists, chemists, bioinformaticians, and engineers.
  • Develop Novel Biotechnological Solutions using tools like CRISPR and synthetic biology.
  • Analyze Experimental Data and Publish Findings in peer-reviewed journals and scientific conferences.
  • Innovate in Drug Discovery and Biomanufacturing to improve efficiency and meet clinical standards.
  • Stay at the Forefront of Scientific Advancements by experimenting with new techniques and technologies.
  • Ensure Compliance and Ethical Research Standards in all experiments.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in biotechnology research, including molecular biology, genetic engineering, cell culture, or synthetic biology.
  • Expertise in gene-editing techniques such as CRISPR, TALENs, or zinc finger nucleases.
  • Proficiency in bioinformatics tools and statistical analysis for processing experimental data.
  • Knowledge of drug discovery processes and biomanufacturing, particularly in biologics and gene therapies.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to communicate findings clearly.

Nice-to-haves

  • Postdoctoral experience in a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Additional certifications or training in bioinformatics, synthetic biology, or biomanufacturing.
