About the position

The Vice President of Blackstone Multi-Asset Investing is responsible for researching and assessing investment opportunities across various asset classes. This role involves leading valuation analyses, financial modeling, and due diligence for prospective investments, as well as overseeing transaction execution and mentoring junior team members. The position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Research and assess investment opportunities in different types of instruments and assets.
  • Lead the valuation analyses, capital structure analysis, theme analysis, and financial modeling of prospective investment opportunities.
  • Design and develop quantitative models to assess the economic performance of underlying companies.
  • Lead due diligence on each transaction.
  • Compare a company's financial data with others of the same industry, size, and location to forecast industry trends.
  • Lead and oversee execution of transactions and participate in both internal and external client meetings, negotiation of contracts and other agreements, and due diligence sessions.
  • Lead communication and/or negotiations with different parties as applicable (lenders, management, sponsors, potential partner hedge funds, financial & legal advisors).
  • Lead the drafting and delivery of investment memoranda for presentation to Investment Committees.
  • Monitor existing investments by maintaining company models/analysis and maintaining relevant relationships.
  • Mentor and train the more junior members of the investment team.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Management Science, Business Analytics, or a related field required.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience using Microsoft Excel to build detailed financial models and cash flow pro formas.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience using Microsoft PowerPoint to draft presentations and communicate effectively both internally and externally.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in using Microsoft PowerPoint to draft and deliver investment memoranda for presentation to Investment Committees.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in underwriting, conducting due diligence, and closing transactions globally.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience monitoring existing portfolio positions proactively.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience using Bloomberg to facilitate underwriting and monitor positions.

  • Competitive salary range of $200,000 - $250,000 per year.
