About the position
Battelle's National Security Business Line is seeking a Field Technician to assist the technical team in executing Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) efforts at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida. The role involves supporting research in areas related to U.S. Air Force Civil Engineering requirements, including evaluation of blast and ballistic protection systems and resiliency technology development.
Responsibilities
- Assist the technical team in executing RDT&E efforts.
- Support research in emerging technical areas related to U.S. Air Force Civil Engineering requirements.
- Manage ordering, receipt, and inventory of purchases, shipments, and equipment.
- Exhibit sufficient technical knowledge to perform routine assignments.
- Operate basic equipment and follow standard procedures.
- Work independently and in a team environment.
Requirements
- High School diploma and over 2 years of experience.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good computer skills including MS Windows and Office.
- Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.
- Sufficient medical fitness to work in the field.
