Blending Operator

About the position

The Blending Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient loading, unloading, and blending of products. This role involves controlling the quality and storage of liquid products, coordinating operational procedures, and supervising bulk materials. The operator will also manage packaging components and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform rework or disposition of damaged packaging componentry.
• Manage overall packaging quarantine area and lead recovery team in handling non-conforming items.
• Monitor inventory and assist with the disposition of damaged or non-saleable products.
• Transport product to packaging quarantine area for disposal.
• Drive forklift or assist forklift drivers as needed.
• Sort product to minimize accumulation of salvage.
• Work with supervisors to prioritize and implement continuous improvement activities.
• Lead and oversee teams of temporary workers during large-scale dumping or rework of finished goods.
• Maintain an open relationship with supervisor/manager regarding important matters.
• Adhere to established company values and procedures.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• Certified forklift operator
• Experience leading and managing others
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to interact effectively with co-workers
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Understanding of written instructions and ability to complete assignments efficiently
• Good judgment and decision making.
