About the position
The Block Advisors Tax Advisor at H&R Block is responsible for providing year-round tax and business services to clients, helping them make informed decisions about their financial matters. This role involves building strong client relationships and offering expert tax preparation, audit support, and planning services. The position is supported by a dedicated team and includes advanced tax training to ensure success in meeting diverse client needs.
Responsibilities
- Build year-round client relationships
- Provide tax preparation, tax audit support, and tax planning year-round
- Conduct tax interviews face-to-face and through virtual tools
- Assist clients in reaching their financial goals with diverse tax and business services
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance tax knowledge and skills
Requirements
- Experience in tax preparation and client service
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to conduct virtual tax interviews
- Sales and/or marketing experience is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is preferred
Nice-to-haves
- CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
- Experience completing business tax returns
