About the position

As a Blockchain Developer at Synechron, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with various stakeholders to address complex technical requirements in a fast-paced environment. Your primary responsibilities will include developing and deploying smart contracts, contributing to blockchain protocol development, and building decentralized applications (DApps). You will also manage blockchain infrastructure and provide technical leadership to junior developers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy smart contracts with a focus on security and efficiency.
• Audit existing smart contracts for optimization and security vulnerabilities.
• Contribute to blockchain protocol development with a focus on the Cosmos ecosystem.
• Develop and maintain blockchain nodes and validators in a secure and scalable manner.
• Write high-quality, maintainable Rust code for blockchain and smart contract applications.
• Optimize Rust applications for performance and resource efficiency.
• Build and maintain user interfaces for DApps that interact with the blockchain.
• Integrate smart contracts into decentralized applications and services.
• Set up and manage blockchain infrastructure, including nodes, wallets, and blockchain explorers.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure a reliable blockchain network.
• Work closely with project managers, designers, and other developers to build software according to requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior blockchain developers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in blockchain development, including smart contracts and consensus algorithms.
• Proficiency in Rust programming language and experience with Cosmos SDK.
• Solid understanding of cryptography, P2P networks, and blockchain principles.
• Experience with other blockchain technologies (e.g., Ethereum, Polkadot) is a plus.
• Familiarity with front-end development frameworks and languages (e.g., React, JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.

Nice-to-haves

• Contributions to open-source blockchain projects.
• Experience with Tendermint core.
• Understanding of financial markets and instruments, especially as they relate to blockchain technology.
