About the position

The American Red Cross is seeking individuals to join their team as phlebotomists, where they will play a crucial role in the blood collection process. This position involves utilizing healthcare and customer service skills to assist in transporting and setting up equipment at donation sites, creating a welcoming environment for donors, and ensuring safety procedures are followed during blood collection. Responsibilities

• Connect personally with donors and help them understand the impact of their donations.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming environment for volunteer donors.
• Ensure attention to detail to meet blood collection goals and regulatory requirements.
• Drive Red Cross vehicles and assist in setting up and tearing down equipment at donation sites.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Physical ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights, good manual dexterity, and the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.)
• Prior leadership experience.
