Responsibilities

  • Take the time to personally connect with donors and listen to their stories.
  • Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and friendly environment for volunteer donors.
  • Ensure that the blood collected meets goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive Red Cross vehicles and work with the team to set up and tear down equipment at donation sites.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
  • A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
  • Physical ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs.
  • Good manual dexterity and the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Adaptability to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes is required.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications are required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.).
  • Prior leadership experience.
