About the position

The Pharmacist at Kroger in Bloomington, IN is responsible for creating an outstanding customer experience by implementing the Customer 1st strategy. This role involves ensuring a safe and clean environment, achieving sales and profit goals, and maintaining quality assurance standards. The pharmacist will also oversee department functions and activities while embodying the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Create an outstanding customer experience by embracing the Customer 1st strategy.
• Establish and maintain a safe, clean environment that encourages customer return.
• Achieve sales and profit goals established for the department.
• Control all established quality assurance standards and expenses.
• Properly schedule and staff technicians to meet business needs.
• Monitor all functions, duties, and activities for the department.
• Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
• Fulfill customers' prescription needs with accuracy.
• Provide patient counseling and pharmaceutical care to customers.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, including HIPAA.
• Maintain a professional image through personal appearance and conduct.
• Monitor stock replenishment and inventory levels.
• Maintain proper records, inventory, and security on all scheduled drugs.
• Ensure all accuracy tools are utilized appropriately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Handle product returns in a timely fashion according to company policy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
• Current state pharmacist licensure in good standing
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
• Ability to handle stressful situations

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of retail experience
• Second language (speaking, reading, and/or writing)
