About the position

The Blow Mold Maintenance Technician at KIK Consumer Products plays a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance of machinery and equipment used in the production of blow-molded containers. This position is essential for maintaining high-quality standards and operational efficiency within the plant. The technician will work primarily on the first shift and is expected to contribute to a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operates machinery that blows mold containers of various sizes and colors.
• Monitors the quality of bottles and ensures they meet quality control standards and specifications.
• Suggests changes in working methods and use of equipment to increase the department's efficiency.
• Notifies supervisor of any manufacturing problems and assists workers in resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Maintains and enforces all safety rules and regulations and maintains good housekeeping in all related areas.
• Maintains blow molding machines, chillers, air compressors, grinders, and blenders.
• Hangs molds and sets up machines to run.
• Performs preventive maintenance on machines.
• Troubleshoots electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 2 or more years of Blow Mold Maintenance experience (Required)
• 3 or more years of industrial maintenance experience (Required)
• PLC Troubleshooting experience (Preferred)
• Ability to work in non-temperature and temperature-controlled environments
• Ability to work around high noise levels
• Ability to wear a full face respirator as necessary
• Ability to work overtime when necessary
