About the position

Flambeau, Inc. is seeking a Blow Molding Operator for the 1st shift at our Baraboo, WI location. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a positive and cooperative attitude with co-workers, employers, customers, and suppliers. You will be expected to learn and apply quality and production standards to all customer parts assigned to you, log all rejects, and track production counts. Meeting customer quality expectations is crucial, and you will ensure that good parts are not discarded. Additionally, you will assist in the on-the-job training of new associates, guiding them in job-specific methods, paperwork, and safety concerns. Following job-specific responsibilities and packaging products according to defined standards is essential, and you will seek advice from supervisors or quality personnel when necessary. You will also be required to learn and adhere to all applicable IATF16949 quality procedures related to Blow Molding production practices. Maintaining a clean work area and performing cleanup tasks as assigned by your supervisor is part of your duties, and you will be expected to perform other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude with co-workers, employer, customers, and suppliers.
  • Learn and apply quality and production standards to all customer parts assigned to work on.
  • Log all rejects and track all production counts.
  • Ensure customer quality expectations are met.
  • Assure that good parts are not being discarded.
  • Assist with on-the-job training of new associates in proper job-specific methods, paperwork, and safety concerns.
  • Ensure job-specific responsibilities are followed and that product is packaged per defined standards.
  • Obtain advice from supervisors, quality personnel, technicians, or floor leaders when packaging questionable products.
  • Learn and follow all applicable IATF16949 quality procedures associated with Blow Molding production practices.
  • Maintain a clean work area and perform cleanup work as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Education and/or GED preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and follow instructions in the English language preferred.
  • Computer knowledge is advised.
  • Effective oral and written communication in the English language preferred.
  • Use reading and writing, adding and subtracting of whole numbers; following of instructions; use of fixed gauges, direct reading of instruments and similar devices where interpretation is not required.
  • Quality and quantity performance standards under normal supervision should be attained within 3 months.
