About the position

The Blower Assembler position at Morrison Products Inc. involves operating machinery and equipment to produce and assemble blower housing parts. The role requires adherence to blueprints and customer specifications while ensuring quality and safety standards are met during the assembly process.

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment and machinery to produce blower housing parts.
  • Work from blueprints, customer specifications, and production schedules, written, and verbal instructions.
  • Change-over machinery and equipment such as shears, riveting equipment, and automated housing assembly equipment.
  • Assemble housings including inserting shafts and wheels into housings and fastening components as per customer specifications.
  • Insert riv nuts into housing sides as required.
  • Pack housing assemblies onto pallets.
  • Add or update MP 245 tags on containers.
  • Check parts and materials for visual defects and conformance to specifications.
  • Perform minor equipment adjustments and notify supervision of out-of-tolerance conditions.
  • Complete minor daily equipment maintenance per posted instructions.
  • Interact with shop floor computer terminals to record time and production activities.
  • Attach proper identification documentation to pallets and containers.
  • Assist other operators as time is available.
  • Operate roll form equipment.
  • Exercise proper care in the use of tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Complete inspection procedures per QF forms as required.
  • Process paperwork, labeling, etc. based on work instructions and quality audits.
  • Complete required reports and records.
  • Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material, and unusual conditions to supervision.
  • Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain a neat work area.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and production schedules.
  • Experience operating machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with assembly processes and quality control standards.
  • Basic computer skills for interacting with shop floor terminals.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects in materials.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in a similar assembly role.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.
