About the position

Blue Mountain Resort is seeking a punctual, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Brand Ambassador. This part-time position is perfect for someone who loves welcoming guests and starting the day with a smile. As the first point of contact for our guests arriving at the mountain, it is critical that all team members provide a genuine, courteous, and helpful experience that generates the ‘Wow!' factor. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited about the opportunity to provide a guest experience that exceeds expectations and creates guests for life. In this role, you will be responsible for greeting and interacting with guests in and around our facilities as well as on the mountain. You will provide guests with direction and assistance, utilizing your extensive knowledge of the resort to answer their questions. On high-volume days, you will engage in crowd entertainment and collect emails for guest research. Additionally, you will distribute promotional swag to guests and represent Blue Mountain at on and offsite promotional activities and events. Responsibilities

• Greeting and interacting with guests in and around facilities as well as on the mountain.
• Providing guests with direction and assistance.
• Utilizing extensive resort knowledge to answer guest inquiries.
• Engaging in crowd entertainment on high-volume days.
• Collecting emails for guest research.
• Distributing promotional swag to guests.
• Representing Blue Mountain at on and offsite promotional activities and events.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal communication skills and a willingness to initiate guest contact in a friendly manner.
• Must be willing to work outdoors.
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team.
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, always remaining calm and courteous.
• Timely and reliable attendance is essential even in inclement weather.
• Must be available to work a flexible workweek, including holidays and weekends.
• Knowledge and passion about skiing and snowboarding, marketing, and guest relations.
• Must be 14 years of age.
