About the position

The General Manager at Blue Ribbon Sushi is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest service and maintaining high standards in food and beverage offerings. This role involves managing inventory, collaborating with the culinary team on menu changes, and fostering a positive work environment for staff.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the highest possible standards of Guest Service are provided to all Guests.
  • Listen and respond to Guest and Team Member concerns and questions.
  • Motivate, develop, and maintain a proud, happy, hardworking team.
  • Maintain Sake and Wine inventory at par levels by calculating inventory and placing orders accordingly.
  • Interact with Guests on the restaurant floor to ensure their dining experience exceeds expectations.
  • Work with the Director of Food and Beverage, Executive Chef, and Room Chef on menu changes, including beverage and wine menus.
  • Review featured menu items with the Room Chef on a daily basis.

Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years previous Food and Beverage management experience in a fine dining and high-paced environment preferred.
  • Extensive Sake, Wine, Beer and Spirit Knowledge Preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate Team Members to deliver a memorable service experience.
  • Extensive experience with training new hires and continual training to develop staff.
  • Understanding of sales goals, production pars, and quality control.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, handle multiple tasks and work independently.
  • Open availability to work on different shifts, weekends, and holidays.
