About the position

Sonoran Hills Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to lead the behavioral health professionals in a new 16-bed inpatient facility primarily serving adolescent boys with autism. The BCBA will be responsible for assessing, designing, and implementing behavior intervention plans to enhance the quality of life for clients, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and promoting positive behavioral changes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to assess behavioral needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Implement and monitor behavioral therapy programs based on applied behavior analysis principles.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to provide support and education regarding behavior management techniques.
  • Provide training and supervision to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and other staff members involved in the implementation of treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, treatment outcomes, and any necessary adjustments to intervention strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to ethical guidelines and best practices in behavioral health care.
  • Stay current with developments in the field of special education, behavioral health, and working with individuals with disabilities.

Requirements

  • Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is required.
  • Proven experience in diagnostic evaluation and behavioral therapy, particularly with individuals on the autism spectrum or those with developmental disabilities.
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in special education settings is preferred but not mandatory.
