About the position

As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) at SpringHealth Behavioral Health and Integrated Care, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients through the implementation of customized treatment plans. Our therapy team is dedicated to delivering real results that exceed patient expectations, and we are looking for a motivated BCBA to join us in this mission. In this position, you will model and train staff in the principles and practices of Positive Behavior Support methodology, ensuring that our team is equipped with the necessary skills to provide effective care. You will be an integral member of Interdisciplinary Teams (IDTs), providing your expertise on behavioral issues and contributing to the development of comprehensive treatment strategies. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough assessments of behavior plans, designing tailored interventions, and providing training and monitoring to ensure the successful implementation of these plans. You will also conduct descriptive and systematic behavioral assessments, including functional analyses, and interpret the results to inform treatment decisions. In addition to assessment and planning, you will provide direct behavioral treatment to clients, utilizing techniques such as replacement skills training, social skills training, crisis de-escalation, and both group and individual behavioral treatment. Your role will also involve participating in an on-call rotation for behavior issues, monitoring the use of restraints, and providing training to reduce their necessity. You will actively participate in various committees, including the Behavior Intervention Committee and the Human Rights Committee, to advocate for the needs and rights of our clients. Furthermore, you will ensure that individualized services are provided to meet the unique treatment needs of each patient in our specialty intermediate care clinics, adhering to all relevant regulations and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Models and trains staff in the principles and practice of Positive Behavior Support methodology.
  • Serves as a member of Interdisciplinary Teams (IDTs) providing expertise regarding behavioral issues.
  • Responsible for Behavior Plan assessment, design, training, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Conducts descriptive and systematic behavioral assessments, including functional analyses, and provides behavior analytic interpretations of the results.
  • Provides direct behavioral treatment to clients via replacement skills training, social skills training, crisis de-escalation, group behavioral treatment, individual behavioral treatment, and/or skills coaching in all applicable settings.
  • Participates in on-call rotation for behavior issues.
  • Monitors restraint use and provides training to reduce it.
  • Monitors challenging behavior.
  • Participates in Behavior Intervention Committee, Human Rights Committee, and other relevant committees as assigned.
  • Provides individualized services to meet the treatment needs of each of the specialty intermediate care clinic patients for services in the field of care.

Requirements

  • Doctoral or Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or related discipline.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification is required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions and deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to make independent decisions with good judgment and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to record/enter data neatly, accurately, and objectively.
