About the position

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst - ES is responsible for providing consultation, training, and conducting behavioral evaluations for individuals with academic and behavioral deficits. This role involves developing and implementing behavior intervention plans and acting as a clinical teacher to educate and supervise educational activities and behavioral service delivery in a school setting.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts functional behavior assessments and educational assessments to identify the function of challenging behavior.
  • Develops collaborative relationships and provides training to school staff on effective applied behavior analysis techniques.
  • Provides ongoing support and training to related field staff to ensure treatment integrity and support professional growth.
  • Investigates concerns and provides coaching and disciplinary action when appropriate.
  • Develops behavior goals according to the needs and abilities of the student.
  • Determines prevention, intervention, and consequence strategies utilizing non-aversive behavior change methods.
  • Collects, analyzes, and reports data and documentation within established time frames to ensure program validity and efficacy.
  • Attends and presents behavioral progress at IEP meetings.

Requirements

  • Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Master's degree in applied behavior analysis, teaching, psychology, or a related field.
  • Preferred experience providing behavior analytic programs and services in schools.
  • One (1) year minimum pediatric experience preferred.
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable.
  • Current CPR certification if applicable.
  • TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable.
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site.
  • Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and clients; proficiency in the English language is required.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
