About the position

The Board Liaison & Executive Assistant to the CEO plays a crucial role in providing high-level administrative support to the CEO and managing all board-related activities. This position serves as the primary administrative liaison to the board of directors, ensuring effective communication and coordination between the board and the executive team. The Executive Assistant is responsible for organizing board meetings, preparing materials, and supporting the CEO in various executive functions, all while maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level administrative support to the CEO.
  • Serve as the primary administrative liaison to the board of directors.
  • Develop agendas for board and committee meetings in collaboration with the CEO.
  • Coordinate logistics for board and committee meetings, including securing meeting spaces and arranging travel.
  • Attend board meetings and provide on-site logistical support.
  • Review, edit, and format reports for the CEO's final review.
  • Assist legal staff with meeting minutes and corporate records management.
  • Coordinate new board member orientations and facilitate board elections.
  • Maintain board member biographies, meeting schedules, and contact information.
  • Support the CEO in managing their calendar and communications.

Requirements

  • Minimum of seven to ten years of experience supporting a C-level executive.
  • Demonstrated track record of supporting Board of Director activities for a nonprofit organization.
  • Superior project management skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced-level skills with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint; proficiency with Excel and Zoom.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in financial services and community development is a plus.
