About the position

The Boat & ATV Sales Consultant performs various Selling / Customer Service activities to assist Boat and ATV Customers in making informed buying decisions. This role supports a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers. The consultant engages all customers entering the department in a friendly and timely manner, meets with potential customers to determine their boating and/or ATV needs, and provides necessary information to allow customers to make informed buying decisions. Additionally, the consultant maintains current product knowledge, adheres to selling skills training, and works cooperatively with the Service Department to ensure seamless delivery to customers. The role also involves preparing the showroom, managing leads in a CRM tool, participating in special events, and meeting individual monthly sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Supports a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensures a pleasant shopping experience for all customers.
• Engages all customers entering the department in a friendly and timely manner.
• Meets with potential customers to determine their boating and/or ATV needs.
• Provides information necessary to allow the customer to make an informed buying decision.
• Maintains current product knowledge using available resources.
• Maintains awareness of advertised items, current pricing structures, and promotions.
• Adheres to all selling skills training and direction.
• Works cooperatively with the Service Department for seamless delivery to customers.
• Maintains confidentiality of all sensitive and personal information.
• Prepares the showroom each morning to ensure proper signage and cleanliness of products.
• Generates and manages leads in the provided CRM tool.
• Participates in special events and completes necessary paperwork within the selling process.
• Meets and exceeds pre-determined individual monthly sales goals.
• Maintains a clean and professional work area.

Requirements

• High School education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and percentages.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate computer systems and Point of Sale register system.
