About the position

The Boat & ATV Sales Consultant is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to customers interested in purchasing boats and ATVs. This role involves engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and assisting them in making informed buying decisions while maintaining product knowledge and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensure a pleasant shopping experience for all customers.
• Engage all customers entering the department in a friendly and timely manner.
• Meet with potential customers to determine their boating and/or ATV needs.
• Provide information necessary for customers to make informed buying decisions.
• Maintain current product knowledge using available resources such as brochures and training meetings.
• Stay aware of advertised items, current pricing structures, and promotions.
• Adhere to all selling skills training and direction.
• Work cooperatively with the Service Department to ensure seamless delivery to customers.
• Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive and personal information.
• Prepare the showroom each morning to ensure proper signage and cleanliness of products.
• Generate and manage leads and prospects in the provided CRM tool, documenting follow-up activities.
• Participate in special events such as Boat Shows and Parking Lot events, completing necessary paperwork accurately.
• Meet and exceed pre-determined individual monthly sales goals based on various factors.
• Maintain a clean and professional work area and follow all Company Policies and Procedures.

Requirements

• High School education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and percentages.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate computer systems and Point of Sale register systems.
