About the position

The Body Shop Technician at Ed Morse Automotive Group is responsible for diagnosing and repairing both foreign and domestic vehicles to meet dealership specifications. This role emphasizes maintaining high customer satisfaction and adhering to safety and organizational standards within the shop environment. The technician will also engage in ongoing education to stay updated with the latest automotive technologies.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair foreign and domestic vehicles to dealership specifications
• Maintain high customer satisfaction
• Meet productivity and efficiency numbers
• Experience in meeting cycle time requirements for completed repairs
• Maintain an organized and safe bay according to dealership, O.S.H.A., and EPA standards
• Keep personal work area, shop, and tools clean and safe
• Learn new technical information and techniques in formal training classes
• Utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment when handling hazardous products or working in hazardous environments.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years of verifiable experience in the collision repair shop industry
• Complies with manufacturer and dealer safety guidelines and standards
• I-CAR and/or ASE certified preferred
• Car-O-Liner Frame measuring experience
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team providing high quality customer service
• Repetitive use of hands for simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation
• Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, ladder and stair climbing, and occasional crawling, twisting and lying
• Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment.

Nice-to-haves
