About the position

This position involves performing work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, diagnosing malfunctions, and performing necessary repairs. You will communicate with the Parts Department to obtain needed parts, examine vehicles for additional safety or service work, and document all work performed. You will also attend factory-sponsored training classes and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding hazardous waste disposal.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose the cause of malfunction and perform the needed repair.
  • Communicate with Parts Department to obtain the needed parts.
  • Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
  • Advise Body Shop Manager if additional work is needed.
  • Document all work performed as soon as the job is completed.
  • Use basic mathematical skills to solve simple equations for mixing chemicals.
  • Attend factory-sponsored training classes and keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
  • Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations such as the disposal of hazardous wastes.
  • Ensure that customer cars are kept clean.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • ASE certification preferred.
  • At least two years automotive experience.
  • All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
  • All applicants must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
  • All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license.
