About the position

Tindol Ford Body Shop is seeking an Experienced Automotive Body Shop Technician to join our team due to strong growth. This full-time position offers competitive pay ranging from $20 to $25 per hour, along with excellent benefits. Our body shop operates on a five-day work week, and we are proud to be closed on Sundays, allowing our employees to enjoy a better work-life balance. As a Body Shop Technician, you will be responsible for repairing vehicles according to estimates and manufacturer standards, ensuring that all work meets the highest quality standards. You will also be involved in preparing vehicles for body repair work and notifying management of any additional repairs needed or any issues that may arise during the repair process. In this role, you will check parts against estimates to ensure that the correct parts are ordered and received. You will maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition and comply with all safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment. It is essential to understand and adhere to federal, state, and local regulations that affect body shop operations, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA regulations. You will also be expected to operate all tools and equipment safely and assist other personnel in the repair and preparation of vehicles as needed. This position may involve other tasks as assigned by management, contributing to a collaborative and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Repairs vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards.
  • Checks parts against estimate and ensures proper parts are ordered and received.
  • Prepares vehicles for body repair work.
  • Notifies management of any additional repairs needed.
  • Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time.
  • Maintains tools and equipment in a proper state of repair.
  • Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
  • Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners and other hazardous materials. Reports any deviations to management.
  • Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
  • Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc.
  • Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in auto body repair
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Background Check
  • Work Authorization
