About the position
The Boeing Graduate Researcher Program (GRP) is a unique 10-12 week internship designed for PhD students, providing a hybrid experience of real-world industry work and development programming. Participants will engage in research and development challenges in guidance, navigation, flight controls, and autonomy, with the potential for full-time employment post-PhD. The program emphasizes mentorship, collaboration, and professional growth within Boeing's innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Participate in research and development challenges related to guidance, navigation, flight controls, and autonomy.
- Analyze and develop solutions to complex problems with guidance from senior engineers.
- Perform dynamic system modeling and simulation, control system design, and analysis methods.
- Conduct experiment design, testing, and results analysis.
- Prepare reports and give presentations on findings.
Requirements
- Completed the first year of PhD studies by July 2025.
- Experience with dynamic system modeling and simulation, control system design, and analysis theory and methods.
- Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, C or C++, and object-oriented design.
- Knowledge of advanced mathematics, estimation, optimization, and Monte Carlo analysis.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with machine learning, AI, probabilistic reasoning, and decision making.
- Good team collaboration and communication skills.
