About the position

The position involves overseeing boiler operations and maintenance, as well as managing water and wastewater plant operations within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Responsibilities

• Oversee boiler operations and maintenance.
• Manage water and wastewater plant operations.
• Supervise inmates in maintenance tasks.
• Ensure compliance with Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) regulations.
• Maintain valid licenses for continued employment.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED.
• Six years of full-time, wage-earning boiler operations, maintenance, or repair experience.
• Experience in the supervision of inmates preferred.
• Ability to obtain various TCEQ licenses within specified timeframes.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a correctional facility environment.
• Previous supervisory experience in maintenance.
