About the position

The Boiler Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance and operational duties related to the facility's boiler systems. This role involves operating, repairing, and maintaining boilers and associated equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. The technician will also document tasks and updates in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and maintain cleanliness in boiler rooms.

Responsibilities

• Operate, repair, maintain, and adjust boilers, turbines, pumps, compressors, and related systems.
• Update work statuses and document tasks completed in the CMMS using a mobile device.
• Monitor and maintain boiler systems, inspecting fluids and making necessary adjustments.
• Repair boiler machinery such as piping and valves, and replace defective parts.
• Record daily readings and adjust equipment to ensure safe functioning of the boiler system.
• Maintain cleanliness of boiler rooms and related facilities.
• Read blueprints and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or Technician in a similar institution.
• Valid driver's license.
• Apprentice card from the State in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or relevant trade.
• General understanding of electro-mechanical equipment.
• Ability to utilize hand-operated construction equipment.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds and perform strenuous labor for extended periods.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in hospitality or facilities management.
• Familiarity with CMMS software.
