About the position

The Boiler Field Service Technician role at Thermogenics involves providing essential services for industrial boilers, including installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. This position is critical in ensuring that customers' steam and hot water equipment operates efficiently, particularly in industries such as healthcare and food processing. The technician will work independently at customer sites across the U.S., representing the company while delivering high-quality service and building strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Perform start-up services, troubleshooting, and repair activities on natural gas and light oil-fired industrial boilers at customer sites.
• Lead on-site installation, preventative and corrective maintenance, repairs, and testing tasks.
• Use test equipment and meters to ensure proper operation of boilers and related equipment during installation.
• Diagnose errors and technical problems, providing appropriate solutions and recommendations to customers.
• Complete documentation such as field service reports, start-up reports, and warranty forms.
• Ensure truck inventory aligns with the recommended parts list.
• Promote upgrades, parts sales, and new and rental boiler sales.
• Develop and maintain good customer relationships, representing Thermogenics professionally.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a service technician in a related industry.
• Experience working on commercial/industrial boiler systems.
• Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems, and understanding of gas and oil combustion.
• Ability to read and understand prints, drawings, and technical bulletins.
• Basic computer skills to complete service reports and logs.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
