About the position

The Bond & Specialty Insurance Underwriting Program Internship at Travelers Insurance offers students a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in the property and casualty insurance industry. Interns will engage in meaningful project work, receive on-the-job training, and develop their skills in underwriting, sales, and marketing. This internship is designed for undergraduate students who are serious about pursuing a career in insurance, particularly in underwriting, and will last approximately 10-12 weeks during the summer.

Responsibilities

• Complete challenging and meaningful project work over the course of the internship.
• Engage in core assignments to develop knowledge of insurance underwriting, sales, and marketing.
• Work under the guidance of a designated coach.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree.
• Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Undergraduate students completing their sophomore or junior year.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.

Nice-to-haves

• Majors in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Risk Management/Insurance, Marketing, or other Liberal Arts with a business focus are preferred.
