About the position

The Student Coordinator position at the Bonner Center for Community-Engaged Learning, Teaching, and Research at Oberlin College & Conservatory is a part-time role designed for students to assist in launching and supporting the Engaged Learning Lab (ELL) and related initiatives. This position emphasizes collaboration with faculty and students to enhance community engagement and experiential learning opportunities, aligning with the institution's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in launching the Engaged Learning Lab (ELL) and support related workshops and events throughout the academic year.
  • Support faculty and student engaged learning fellows (ELFs) in their projects through the ELL.
  • Work with the Bonner Center Director to support Community-Based Learning (CBL) courses and Integrative Concentrations.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment at Oberlin College & Conservatory.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills focused on community and student development.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, adaptable to various audiences.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Experience in developing professional relationships with diverse populations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in supporting students' developmental growth.
