About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team at Timber Ridge Tree Care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This position requires a strong understanding of GAAP, proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, and the ability to manage various accounting tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records in accordance with GAAP standards.
• Perform general ledger reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently.
• Prepare and file tax documents as required, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Assist with governmental accounting tasks as needed.
• Generate financial reports to provide insights into the organization's financial status.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information.

Requirements

• Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles is essential.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and practices is required.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software is preferred.
• Familiarity with tax regulations and governmental accounting practices is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary for success in this role.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively.
