About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts receivable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts and proficiency in bookkeeping practices, including double-entry bookkeeping and general ledger reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections.
• Perform general ledger reconciliation and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
• Utilize financial software, including Sage, to manage accounting tasks efficiently.
• Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports for management review.
• Assist with tax preparation and filing as required.
• Conduct regular audits of financial data to identify discrepancies or errors.
• Collaborate with public accounting professionals to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Provide support in the development of financial policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Proficiency in double-entry bookkeeping along with QuickBooks.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles.
• Experience with accounts receivable management and general ledger reconciliation.
• Ability to perform 10 key typing accurately and efficiently.
• Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in bookkeeping (1 year preferred).
