About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Garland, TX. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, ensuring that all financial transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner. This role will involve handling checks that come in and out on a weekly basis, as well as assisting with pre-payroll work to ensure that all employees are compensated correctly and on time. In addition to these core responsibilities, the Bookkeeper will also take on basic Office Manager duties, which may include ordering supplies, maintaining office organization, and sending out letters to clients as needed. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting, with at least two years of relevant experience. Familiarity with Quickbooks Desktop is preferred, as this will be a primary tool used in daily operations. The ability to research, track, and resolve accounting errors as they arise is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our financial records. Additionally, the candidate should have working experience with spreadsheets and financial reports, demonstrating proficiency in Excel, 10-key by touch, Word, Outlook, and Adobe PDF. Experience in the construction industry and familiarity with SAGE 100 software will be considered a plus, as it will enhance the candidate's ability to perform in this role effectively.
