About the position

EKS Corporation is seeking an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to join our team in Peabody, MA. This role is essential for the management of our multiple retail stores and commercial properties throughout New England. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in bookkeeping and administrative tasks, with a particular emphasis on QuickBooks Desktop experience. The position requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and work independently with minimal supervision. The expected work schedule is approximately 20 hours per week, ideally from Monday to Thursday, between 9 AM and 2 PM. As a Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for a variety of bookkeeping tasks including managing accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and tax management. You will also maintain vendor and customer files, reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and credit card statements, and balance daily financial activities. Additionally, you will support the monthly financial close process and assist management with various projects and tasks. General office duties such as answering phones, scanning, and filing will also be part of your responsibilities. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, extremely organized, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with Excel and/or Google Sheets is also required, along with a solid understanding of journal entries and month-end close processes. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Experience with QuickBooks Desktop

  • Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience
  • Minimum 2 years of QuickBooks Desktop experience
