About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant to support our team in various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong bookkeeping skills and be proficient in accounting software. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general administrative duties, including filing, data entry, and document management.
  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliation and account reconciliation tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts receivable and payroll processing.
  • Support double entry bookkeeping and general ledger accounting activities.
  • Utilize accounting software such as Quicken and Xero to manage financial data.
  • Handle 10 key typing for data entry and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of financial reports and audits.
  • Provide clerical support as needed, ensuring that all documents are organized and accessible.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles, including balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting.
  • Proficiency in using Quicken, Xero, or similar accounting software is highly desirable.
  • Strong skills in payroll processing, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation are beneficial.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Benefits

  • Pay starting from $20.00 per hour
  • 40 expected hours per week
  • 8 hour shift Monday to Friday
