About the position

BLOOM365 is seeking a part-time Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to support the financial operations of a high-impact non-profit organization. This hybrid role involves working in the office one day a week and remotely for the remainder of the time, focusing on maintaining accurate financial records, processing payroll, and managing donations. The position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented and passionate about making a difference in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Recording transactions
  • Reconciling bank statements
  • Handling accounts receivable and payable
  • Tracking donations, grants, and match funding expenditures
  • Processing payroll, including the administration of the QuickBooks T-Sheets program
  • Completing monthly and quarterly grant and agency financial reports
  • Preparing documents for the annual 990 and audit
  • Acknowledging donors
  • Managing fundraising donations in Bloomerang, a CRM

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in accounting or finance required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Three or more years experience with processing payroll and managing bookkeeping
  • Fluent in QuickBooks Online for Non-Profits and T-Sheets
  • Exceptional data entry skills
  • Ability to communicate complex data clearly
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Professional communication and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of tracking restricted vs. unrestricted funds and non-profit bookkeeping
