The Part-Time Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant position at a small engineering company in Napa Valley involves managing financial records and providing administrative support. Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and collections.
  • Perform 10 key typing for data entry tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports in compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Utilize financial software, including QuickBooks, to maintain records and generate reports.
  • Conduct general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Support the public accounting team with tax preparation and filing processes.
  • Maintain organized files and documentation related to financial transactions.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve administrative processes and enhance office efficiency.
  • Process payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with regulations and timely payments.
  • Assist with additional administrative tasks as needed to support the team.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in accounts payable and receivable management.
  • Experience using QuickBooks financial software is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with team members and clients.
  • Fluency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • 2 years of bookkeeping experience.
