About the position

The Bookkeeper and Office Administrator at LeoDaniels is responsible for managing all general bookkeeping activities and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth functioning of the company. This role requires a collaborative team player who is organized, detail-oriented, and possesses a positive attitude. The position offers opportunities for growth within a family-owned jewelry e-commerce and retail business.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all general bookkeeping activities including processing receivables and payables, preparing interim financial statements, and processing payroll.
  • Utilize QuickBooks and the company's manufacturing and inventory management software for inventory management and production-related activities.
  • Screen and respond to calls, emails, and routine letters promptly; direct inquiries to the appropriate person.
  • Write and distribute routine correspondence and reports; compile data and prepare reports from meetings.
  • Develop and implement office procedures and track/purchase supplies for the office.
  • Handle shipping and receiving of merchandise, ship orders, and process returns.
  • Upload images and data to inventory management software and Google Drive.
  • Provide onboarding support and proofread/edit documents for compliance with company policy.
  • Research, edit, and compile content for the website and inventory as needed.
  • Fulfill other administrative duties as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of bookkeeping experience or completed accounting training/degree.
  • 2 years of accounting experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to multitask.
  • Detail-oriented with a professional demeanor and positive attitude.
  • Trustworthy and able to respect confidentiality.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with customer service.
  • Familiarity with Google Office.
