About the position

The Bookkeeper, III position within the New York City Police Department (NYPD) is a critical role responsible for managing various payroll functions for both civilian and uniformed members of service. This position is specifically for current NYPD employees who are permanent Bookkeeper, Level III, and is part of the Payroll Section, which plays a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. The NYPD's mission is to enhance the quality of life in New York City through community partnership, law enforcement, and maintaining order, and the Payroll Section supports this mission by ensuring that all personnel are compensated accurately and on time.
