About the position

The Bookkeeper/Office Manager is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the Finance department's daily operations. This role ensures compliance with financial regulations and involves preparing financial reports and collaborating with external auditors.

Responsibilities

  • Record daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate ledgers.
  • Prepare and issue invoices, process payroll, and manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.
  • Monitor financial transactions and ensure compliance with company policies and legal standards.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and tax preparers to ensure timely completion of audits and tax filings.
  • Maintain financial data confidentiality and follow internal control policies.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
