About the position

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Bookkeeper to oversee the daily operations of our office. The ideal candidate will possess strong bookkeeping skills and be proficient in various accounting software. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently while ensuring the smooth functioning of the office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day office operations, including scheduling, correspondence, and administrative support.
  • Oversee accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliation and maintain accurate general ledger accounting.
  • Process payroll and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Conduct account reconciliation and assist with financial reporting as needed.
  • Utilize accounting software such as Quicken and Xero for bookkeeping tasks.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation for all financial transactions.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for management review.
  • Support the team with clerical tasks, including 10 key typing and data entry.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Office Manager or in a similar administrative role.
  • Strong knowledge of double entry bookkeeping principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with general ledger accounting practices is a plus.
  • Experience with payroll processing and account reconciliation is desirable.
